History and Vision

My name is Ted Ceponis, and I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Informatics Engineering from Kaunas University of Technology (KTU), Lithuania, in 2019. I have been playing chess since I was 5 years old, and my teaching career started in early 2016.

I joined a local chess club in Kaunas, Lithuania, where I learned various chess openings, tactics, and combinations. My journey then led me to compete in international tournaments and championships, starting competitively in 2002. However, I discovered my true passion in teaching.

In 2020, I founded ChessMastering with a vision to expand the community, share my chess experience, and help others master the game of chess.

ChessMastering's primary focus is on fully connecting with our students. We prefer to be seen as friends and teammates rather than rigid instructors. We firmly believe that fostering open communication and teamwork toward common goals leads to exceptional results.

At ChessMastering, we are eager and ready to share our knowledge. Our motivation as tutors stems from guiding our students from beginners to masters of the game.
